Winetasting
Red or white? Red and white! Whether Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay, Riesling, Roter Veltliner or Gelber Muskateller – Austria’s wines enjoy a great international reputation among wine lovers and experts. The character of the wines is not only shaped by the different grapes and nutrient-rich soils, but also by the regions they come from. The wine-growing regions such as the Burgenland Wine Region and Wachau Valley are extensive. While walking along the beautiful paths through the ancient vineyards of the Wachau valley for example, you can easily get to Langenlois, where you will find the most intensely flavoured wines of the region. No time for trips? No problem. As the world’s only major wine-growing capital, the city of Vienna offers more than 700 hectares of vineyards!
