vacation entitlement
at Specific-Group
WORKING TIME: The designated work week is 40 hours, distributed Monday through Friday from 09:00 until 17:00. For those working at least 6 hours per day, a 30 minute break is encouraged.
FLEXIBLE HOURS: Employeescan determine the start and end of their daily work schedule, taking into account the operational requirements of their position. A sliding time frame is fixed Monday through Friday, between 07:00 and 20:00. Mandatory core hours are Monday through Friday, between 10:00 and 14:00.
SICKNESS/PAID ABSENCE: If sick leave exceeds a period of 3 working days, employees need to submit a written confirmation from a licensed and approved doctor.
VACATION:Employees receive paid vacation days for a minimum of 25 working days per year; this also applies to minimum income employees and part-time employees.
ADDITIONAL SALARY PAYMENTS:In addition to their monthly salary, each employee in Austria is additionally paid two monthly salaries, one in June (“vacation salary”) and one in November (“Christmas salary”). Each additional salary payment is equal to the employee’s standard monthly salary. Because of their unique nature, these additional payments are taxed at a lower tax rate than standard salary payments. .
When your annual salary amount is negotiated, the agreed-upon rate includes the two additional salary payments — that is, it is based upon 14 monthly payments, not 12.
